He served on the SCAC Board for over 12 years and served as President in 2012. He is currently the President of Slater Marietta Lions Club, and Past district Governor for the District 32A Lions.
He has led the music at various churches and has been at Blue Ridge Baptist for over 25 years leading the music ministry.
He has been the President of the Appalachian Council of Government and continues to serve on the board of directors of the Appalachian Council of Government.
